C. MAROTTA, Partner.
Daniel C. Marotta, Esq.
is a partner in the law firm of
Gabor & Marotta LLC, a commercial litigation, real estate and
entertainment firm in New York City .
He is an alumnus of
Fordham Law School, Evening Division, Class of '92. Mr.
Marotta earned his B.A. in Economics and English from Manhattan
College
in Riverdale, New York.
Mr. Marotta’s real estate
practice includes
purchases and
sales, condominium and coop offerings, franchising, and
commercial leasing. He is also a trial attorney with
experience in commercial litigation, including real estate and
construction litigation, wills and estates, trademark infringement,
copyright infringement, royalty disputes, rights of publicity,
employment disputes, personal injury and civil rights.
Mr. Marotta teaches
Intellectual Property Licensing at the
NYU School of Continuing Education and Professional Studies
and represents independent labels, distributors, producers and artists in
licensing, publishing, recording and distribution agreements.
Mr. Marotta is President
of the Network of
Bar Leaders, a coalition of leaders of 46 bar associations in
New York City and Long Island. He is a member of the Board of
Directors of the Richmond
County Bar Association, and the RCBA Committee For Judicial
Independence. He is also a member of the
New York County Lawyers Association,
the Federal Bar Association, and the 2007 Executive Committee
of the Conference of Bar Leaders for the New York State Bar Association. He is also a former Chair of the Music and Recording
Industry Committee of the Entertainment Arts and Sports Law Section
of the New York State Bar Association.
Mr. Marotta devotes a
substantial amount of time to not for profit real estate development and
is active in his local community. He is a member of the Board
of Directors of the
Downtown Staten Island Council,
a not for profit group consisting of business and community leaders
promoting the downtown business district of Staten Island as a cultural
and historic destination attraction. He is a member of the
Board of Directors of Neighborhood Housing Services of New York City, Inc. and served
as President of the Board of Directors of
Neighborhood Housing Services of Staten Island, Inc. for four
consecutive years. Neighborhood Housing Services is a nationwide
network of local development corporations which provides financing,
grants and home buyer education courses to build stability in
communities and revitalize distressed neighborhoods. He is a former
member of the Board of Directors of the Neighborhood
Preservation Coalition in Albany, New York, a coalition of over 180
not-for-profit housing groups in New York State.
Mr. Marotta has lectured at
the New York State Bar Association, Miami Winter Music
Conference, the MAGIC
fashion and apparel show in Las Vegas and BillBoard Dance Music
Summit on copyright and trademark issues. He has also spoken
on topics in real estate law, commercial leasing and mortgage lending
for not for profit groups and the German American Chamber of Commerce.
He has made presentations to the Association of the Bar of the City
of New
York, Fordham Law School and the New York New Media Association
on developing a career in Entertainment Law and real estate law. He has served as a Technical
Editor on The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Starting a Small Business,
Macmillan, 2000, and the Unofficial Guide to Starting a Small
Business,
Macmillan, 2000. Published articles include: Trademark Parody Since Ginger

RICHARD
M. GABOR, Partner.
Richard
M.
Gabor
is a partner in the law firm of
Gabor
&
Marotta
LLC
in New York City. His main
areas of practice include business and tax planning, estate and
family planning, real estate,
bankruptcy, commercial litigation, and business valuations.
Mr.
Gabor
graduated from Brooklyn College with a Bachelors of Science in
Accounting in 1976. He earned his law degree at the University
of Miami in 1979, and has studied tax law under a master's program
at
New York University School of
Law.
Mr.
Gabor
maintains a dynamic accounting practice,
Gabor
& Associates, with
over 1500 clients in the New York City metropolitan area. He is a
former partner of the downtown Manhattan firm Patrusky, Mintz & Semel,
whose offices were destroyed on September 11, 2001.
Mr.
Gabor
has been providing tax counseling and estate and trust planning for his
clients for over 30 years. His expertise includes the
preparation of wills, trusts, gift and estate tax returns, IRS audits
and criminal investigations,
elder law planning, limited liability companies, and partnership and
shareholder agreements. He is also a trial attorney with
experience in
trust and estate litigation, business and partnership
disputes, divorce, bankruptcy and real estate. He also acts
as a qualified Intermediary in Section 1031 tax deferred
commercial real estate transactions on behalf of attorneys and their
clients.
Mr. Gabor is a member of the
Richmond County Bar Association, and the Elder Law Section of
the New York State Bar Association.
He is also a
member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).
Mr. Gabor advises attorneys and certified public accountants regarding
business valuations in connection with matrimonial litigation, disputes
among shareholders and partners, and estate planning.

RYAN
A. RIEZENMAN, Associate.
Ryan A. Riezenman is an associate in the law firm of Gabor & Marotta
LLC, a commercial litigation, real estate,
tax
and entertainment firm in New York City. His main areas of practice include
will drafting, probate and administration of estates,
estate accounting, personal injury, limited liability companies,
and commercial litigation. Mr. Riezenman also handles issues catering to the LGBT community.
Mr. Riezenman graduated from the University at Albany with a
Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2002. He earned his law
degree at New York Law School in 2005. He is admitted to both the
New York State Bar and the New Jersey Bar.

HON.
MATTHEW J. TITONE, Of Counsel.
Matthew J.
Titone is the Assemblyman of the 61st Assembly District
in Staten Island. He was elected in 2007. He is the son of Margaret Titone and the Hon. Vito J. Titone, Staten Island's only New York
State Court of Appeals Judge. Mr. Titone is now associated with the law
firm of Gabor & Marotta LLC, a commercial litigation, real
estate, tax and entertainment firm in New York City.
While attending St. John's University
School of Law, Matthew worked full time
as a law clerk for the late John S. Zachary,
Esq. Upon his admission to the New York
State Bar in 1992, Matthew immediately began
doing pro bono work for the Staten Island
AIDS Task Force and Project Hospitality. In
late 1993, he was named the Senior Trial
Associate for the prestigious Wall Street
firm of Morgan, Melhuish, Monahan,
Arvidson, Abrutyn & Lisowski, and
managed the firm's complex Labor Law
litigation department, and litigated
Insurance Law and Professional Malpractice
Liability cases. He left the firm in 1998
to open his own private law practice on
Staten Island. Mr. Titone, an accomplished
trial attorney, balances his public life as
assemblyman with his legal career in civil
litigation, which includes negligence
defense and personal injury.
While in private practice, Mr. Titone
handled the landmark case of Ligreci v.
New York Foundling Hospital, involving a
claim for “fraudulent adoption,” the first
of its kind in the United States.
Throughout his career, Mr. Titone has also
consistently provided pro bono services to
those who cannot afford legal
representation. His efforts aided Project
Hospitality in creating a full-time
professionally staffed legal service
department. Matthew served on the Board of
Directors of Community Health Action of
Staten Island (f/k/a the Staten Island
AIDS Task Force), and has also served on the
Board of Trustees for Legal
Services of New York, providing
oversight on the Legal Aid Society, amongst
others.
Matthew's civic participation includes his
history of leadership at the
Snug
Harbor Cultural Center. In 1998,
Matthew joined the Board of Trustees and
served on a number of its committees,
including briefly serving as Interim
President & C.E.O. Until his election to
public office in 2007, he chaired the Merger
Committee, overseeing the merger of Snug
Harbor Cultural Center with the Staten
Island Botanical Garden.
Matthew Titone is an active member of the
Richmond County Bar Association,
Federal Club Member of the Human Rights
Campaign, Wagner College's DaVinci
Society, the Loughlin Society of St.
John's University, and St. John's
University School of Law Alumni Society.
Matthew was instrumental in enabling St.
John's University to endow a scholarship in
his late father's name to benefit Staten
Island residents attending the school.
In 2004, he was the recipient of the
Community Health Action of Staten Island's
Philanthropic Leadership Award.

Paul-Philippe L. Reyes,
Associate.
Paul-Philippe L. Reyes is an associate
with the law firm of Gabor & Marotta LLC. His main areas of practice
include commercial litigation, real estate, and bankruptcy. In law
school, he represented debtors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 proceedings
and interned in the Chambers of Hon. Harold Baer, Jr., U.S.D.J., S.D.N.Y.
He has also represented Spanish speaking clients in securities
arbitration and mediation before the Financial Industry Regulatory
Authority (FINRA).
Mr. Reyes graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of
Arts in Political Science and a Certificate in International Relations
in 2002. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School in 2007.
He is admitted to practice in New York State.
Mr. Reyes is a member of the Asian American Bar Association of New York,
the New York State Bar Association and the New York County Lawyer's
Association.

CHRISTOPHER COLON, Of Counsel.
Christopher Colon is
of counsel to the law firm of Gabor & Marotta
LLC, a commercial litigation, real estate
and entertainment firm in New York City.
Mr. Colon has extensive experience in real estate,
personal injury, and commercial litigation. Before joining the law firm
of Gabor & Marotta, Mr. Colon was a sole practitioner for several years
representing clients in real estate, discrimination, and personal injury
litigation.
Christopher Colon is a graduate of Brooklyn College and earned his Juris
Doctorate from John Marshall Law School, Chicago in 1999. He is
admitted to practice in New York State and has also practiced before the
Federal Court, Eastern District of New York. Mr. Colon is currently
waiting admission to the Illinois Bar.
Mr. Colon is a member of the Richmond County Bar Association.
